Pets and Feng Shui

Pets are a wonderful addition to the family and bring many benefits to the household. Speaking from a personal point of view, I never imagine that my dog Tequeño would bring such joy and positivity into our lives, this is the reason why I decided to share the benefits of Feng Shui for our pets.

Pets bring many benefits to the household
Tequeño brings love and joy into our home.

Tequeño became part of our family in March of 2019, and I must admit that my life changed forever in a beautiful way.

After becoming a Feng Shui Master, my family and I have enjoyed the energetical benefits of having a pet that I didn’t know existed.

Tequeño is truly a high dosage of love and yang energy into our home, and things, in general, have gotten better ever since he came into our lives.

Pets are great to bring love, joy and good Chi

There are a variety of pets and each specie brings different benefits to your life. For instance, fish are great for bringing wealth, turtles symbolize longevity, birds help bring success into your career, cats represent opportunity and financial luck and dogs are a fabulous way to give your home a boost of good loving energy.

Regardless of the pet that you own or the one that you might be getting soon, there are few guidelines that you should consider in order to have great Feng Shui in your home and create a good impact in your relationships, your finances, as well as in your health.

Other benefits of having a pet are they bring a great amount of yang energy into the home making it more active even when we are not around.

Did you know that when your dog walks around the house, barks, or wags its tail happily? This is the way how they activate joy and love energy, making the owner and the pet have a positive impact on their Feng Shui.

Dogs also help bring protective energy for the family making us feel safer at home.

∞ When do pets become bad Feng Shui for our home?

The answer is when they are simply not well taken care of.  Your pet’s health, care, and safety must be a priority to the owner, therefore the way you keep your pet will have a direct impact on your well being as well as in the energy of the home.

For instance, having an aquarium or a pond at home must be nice, but if the fish, the fish tank, or the pond is not clean, the water isn’t clear and the fish aren’t healthy these can lead to financial loss and might also affect your family’s health.

∞ People come first before pets

Pets should not be treated in the same way as your kids or spouse.  It is very important to take into consideration the hierarchy of the house, meaning that pets should not have dominance over people since this might lead to relationship problems. Avoid sharing your bed with your furry friend.

One of the benefits of having a pet is it improve health and extend the longevity

∞ Pets should not affect your health negatively

A pet doesn’t have to affect your health. Therefore a clean house is crucial for good Feng Shui as well as for good health, which means that your pet’s hair must be vacuumed regularly in order to make sure that you do not get any allergies.

Also, make sure to clean after your pet’s waste since there are many infections that pet owners can get if they do not keep their house clean from their pet’s waste.

∞ Pets should enhance your home and not dominate it

When you enter to your home or you have visitors over make sure that your pet’s belongings are not the first things to be noticed about your house.

For instance, if your cat’s litter box is the first thing you see or smell when you enter your home, this is a sign of bad Feng Shui and might lead to financial problems and a lack of opportunities in your career.  Treat litter boxes like toilets. They must be out of sight.

A good place for your cat’s litter box is inside a bathroom

Clean regularly your pet’s toys and organize them in such a way that they don’t interfere with the decoration of your space.

Generally speaking, the benefits of having a pet have been proven: they improve health, extend longevity, and increase happiness.

Having a loving, cared-for and well-behaved pet is a good asset for your home’s Feng Shui and energy.

Keep your relationship with your pet in balance and start noticing the magic that these little friends bring into your life.
