Get ready to “Moove” your energies for Chinese New Year of the Water Tiger

For the Chinese Culture as well as in Feng Shui, the energies change yearly with the Chinese New Year, also known as Lunar New Year or Spring Festival.

After February 1st, 2022 the energy will officially change from the Year of the Metal Ox to the Year of the Water Tiger, and this is the most important celebration for the Chinese culture.

Chinese people follow the lunar calendar starting each year with the new moon on the first day of the spring season, therefore, there is no exact day to celebrate Chinese New Year each year.  For the Gregorian calendar, the New Year in China falls between January 21st and February 20th.

Ever since I started to practice Feng Shui here in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I love and enjoy preparing my home in advance to celebrate Chinese New Year to welcome the new energies that the Lunar New Year will bring for all of us.

Here are 6 tips that I like to do and apply in my home in order to prepare for Chinese New Year:

∞ Repair everything that is broken or not working well in your house

Check out for water leaks, such as leaking faucets, sinks, or toilets.

Leaking water in one’s home brings loss of money and unnecessary expenses.

You may also consider painting your house to renew the energies this year.

Repair cracked walls or broken floors. ⠀

∞ Broken items must also be repaired and fixed

After repairing your house, check out for broken furniture, such as chairs, sofas, tables, etc.

Pay special attention to your bed since sleeping in a broken bed might bring obstacles into your life.

∞ Check out if your plates, utensils, serving dishes and cups are cracked, chipped or broken

Eating your meals using damaged utensils will block the prosperity of your family and the progress in your career.

∞ DECLUTTER!!!

Get rid of clothes and shoes that you haven’t worn in more than a year.

By doing so, you are getting rid of bad luck and making room for new luck and new things to come into your life!

I highly recommend recycling and up-cycling if you wish to give new use to the things that no longer serve you.

You may also donate these items to people or institutions that may need them.

In this way, we are also helping Mother Earth by not creating more waste and trash!  ⠀⠀⠀⠀

∞ Clean out your kitchen and your fridge

Toss out leftovers, and also expired or spoiled veggies and fruits. ⁣⁣

∞ Organize every corner of your home

When we organize our spaces we “moove” our energies!

We not only get rid of bad and stagnant old energy, but we also energize and harmonize our spaces by doing so.

An organized home provides an organized life, and energies “moove” easier and better when everything is in its designated place.

Do not forget to organize closets and cabinets, even the storage room must be pristine.

How would you like to Moove Your Energies in your home this year?
